Urpo has never had a good day in his life. He grew up from a bullied boy into an adult with no friends. He's insecure, lonely, and still lives with his mom with no plans to move out.

Urpo's upbringing has made him extremely introverted; he doesn't get on well with other people.
He's more compassionate towards animals or even inanimate objects, but he'd never be cruel towards anyone.
Not many people get the chance to talk to him, but those who do definitely sense his desire to not be involved; he fades into the background by cowering behind his mom, who is a whole other issue haunting his life.

Even in his adulthood, Urpo's mom still treats him like a child, which continues to this day; it left him mentally stunted. He's so dependent on her that he cannot even imagine leaving the house without her assistance.
Despite his clinginess towards his mother, he's actually not too fond of her. He feels like vomiting whenever someone even suggests that he likes her. If he had the chance, he'd want her to die, but he would rather not be present when it eventually happens.

All Urpo's isolation and failures in life have made him want to do nothing but punish himself for being alive, from cutting himself to fueling his heroin addiction.
With his inability to properly socialize, he makes his total pushover mom score the dope for him; she'll never hate her son regardless of what he does. Bullied all his life, no matter how many times adults stepped in, it never stopped.
