Twist is a creature of strange origin living in an underwater "seaside" beach town populated by giant sea animals.
Being the only animal in her hometown that stands on two legs, Twist stands out like a sore thumb. The cost of her uniqueness is the difficulty of living in this world that wasn't built with her kind in mind.
Many would describe Twist as a "ray of sunshine." She brings smiles everywhere she goes, helping the elderly and playing with children. She has so much love for the community that raised her.

Twist's current occupation is a traffic police officer. Her goal is to collect enough money from her job so she can move to the largest city in the Indian Ocean and turn her guitar-playing hobby into a real career. When Twist was a newborn, she was put in a yarn bag filled with rocks and thrown to be at the mercy of the sea. Fortunately, before anything bad could happen, Twist was found by a turtle couple.

In the current day, she's doing her best to thrive in the world she found herself in, unaware how different things are above her.

•She can't drive the cars available in the ocean world because of her shape, so instead she uses rollerblades. It's rare to see her without them. •
