ABOUT

Matala is a patient residing at an abandoned hospital deep in the woods, alongside with their friend, Valhe.
they're instutionalized because of a heart disease they have, and the constant injuries they cause to themselves.

Matala is very energetic and rebellious, They enjoy breaking into places they aren't supposed to be in and smuggling things they've found on their scavenging trips to inside of the hospital.
They act without thinking, which often gets them in trouble. Matala's usual way of getting into trouble is the act of stealing medical equipment, gears and tools. they use them to pretend to be a doctor, tries to assist other patients or experiment on valhe (nothing violent). Valhe lets them do this in exchange for medicine and substances which matala steals for them.

They have some serious mental issues, which makes them "dangerous" according to the hospital staff.
if they aren't distracted ,they will proceed to harm themselves in ways involving their neck. like self strangulation, violently clawing at their throat, or if sharp objects are present; slicing or cutting it open (note: Matala can endure blood loss better than most). At night their hands have to be tied up to the wall in order to prevent bloodshed.
most of the time all the harm is directed to only themselves, but there's been times where matala has caused injury to others.
Even they have these problems, many see a lot of potetintial in them and believe they will achieve something big once they've recovered and gotten the help they need. PAST

inseparable duo, you often see these two together. theyre extremely close friends and they even share a hospital room!!

Their favorite activity is exploring the woods around the hospital, thats where they spend most of their time, building forts or playing.
Valhe keeps matala distracted so they don't do anything stupid to themselves.

Matala is ashamed that valhe has to witness so many of their lowest moments and outburts, doesn't know how to apologize for it.
