Whats happening?: Anime convention in Hyvinkää
Mood: embarrassed
On the first Saturday of June (6th), my friends and I met again for a day of convention fun. This time it was just us Finnish folk.

As always, I had to struggle greatly with train-related changes, with the worst yet to come, but it's irrelevant now. It was still morning, with a great day with friends waiting ahead.

I was the first one to arrive at the station; I waited a bit for my friend, Rai, who arrived not long after I did. Our third, Celery, would join us before long, but it'd still take some time.
Rai and I decided to go ahead and peruse the con thrift area. Celery arrived just as we were leaving the thrift; I joined them for a round two while Rai waited in the lobby outside.

At this point, it had been raining and the air was getting extremely humid; it wasn't too hot, but the air made it enough for things to be unbearable, especially with most market areas being AC-less. Nevertheless, we enjoyed exploring the market areas and hanging out, occasionally losing each other in the crowd.

Later, our hunger drove to the nearest mall; Rai and Celery went to get Subway. I've never had Subway, so I was too intimidated to give it a shot; therefore, I accepted my fate of watching my friends eat Subway sandwiches while as I starved.
After my friends were finished, I went to look for a place I'd feel comfortable eating at. With Rai by my side and no other options, I opted for the "Friends & Brgrs" restaurant. I hadn't been to one before, but you can never go wrong with a burger..
It was good; I had no complaints about it.

After returning to the con area, we'd just sit around, re-enter the sweaty market area, and hang out outside. Later on in the day, I even met one of my Instagram mutuals in the pouring rain. They gave me a little clown as a gift.
All of us would go inside and gather around a table in the tabletop area, just talking about various things, letting the time pass by. Not long after, I made my way to the train station. While I regretted picking such an early ticket, nothing can beat the joy of finally returning home after a rough day.

Now here is when the horror starts: My trip home involved only one change between trains, which I usually consider the safest choice.. On the first train, I was listening to music while surrounded by fellow con-goers returning to their own homes. I could notice the train getting later and later by the minute, yet I tried to stay unbothered; no need to panic yet.
As I arrived at the change station I ran as fast as I could; as I made it to the platform where my train stood, I pressed the door button,, nothing. Within seconds the train started moving, leaving me behind. I'VE JUST MISSED MY ONE AND ONLY CHAAANGE!!! I'd have to wait about an hour for the next train to come, lucky enough to not be stranded but unlucky enough to not arrive home as planned.
