What is this? Bicycle Boy is a post-apocalyptic webcomic created by Jackarais.
The comic is still ongoing and has been actively updated since 2013. (That's over a decade!). It's currently getting weekly pages, occasionally going on a hiatus.
Read it here

The plot follows a very miserable cyborg guy who had woken up in the middle of the desert surrounded by corpses. With his memory and limbs gone, he goes to seek for answers. (only for things to get more miserable for him 💔 poor thing.)

I recommend giving this comic a read; the characters and worldbuilding are wonderful! The best part is that the comic keeps getting better and better every page!
(cyborg)pieces and love ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ Read Bicycle Boy.
Fav Characters If you want to see all the characters this comic has to offer, check out the official website cast page This box will just be listing my favorite characters from this comic ^_^ (not in any order)
POET
The main character of this comic! this is the miserable cyborg guy i mentioned on the box above.. He's got such a pathetic wet cat vibes and I love him for that. I'm excited to learn more about him.
MACHK
He's the deuteragonist in the comic!! He's such a wondeful character, so kind.. He truly deserves all the nice things in the world.
STONEHENGE
She's genuinely such a fun character with great development. I used to not have strong opinions about her, but on my re-reads ive started to warm up to her. I hope to see more of her soon
DARLA
I LOVE HER!! one of my very favorites!! Truly the character ever.
She's got such an amazing presence and it's always a joy to see her on a page.

rambling... Alright! It's time to talk about my own feelings, opinions, and how I found out about Bicycle Boy.

If it wasn't obvious, this comic means SO MUCH to me. It's my #1 favorite comic at the moment, and I don't think it's going to be dethroned in my lifetime. I'm so invested in it; the writing is wonderful, especially the writing done to develop the wonderfully unique characters.
The art in the comic is amazing too; it's been in the oven for over a decade, so you can see Jackarais' art evolving with every page turn.
Every read just makes the comic better for me. I've got 3 rereads under my belt already!

I first found out about the comic through Flight Rising, a dragon breeding/trading game. It was the 22nd day of December 2022.
There are banner ads on each side of the pages. I had my adblocker disabled, so all I saw were blank spots saying how I should disable my adblocker, as it supports the site.
Sure, whatever. I'm not going to be disturbed by mere banner ads; they're just going to be oddly targeted stuff I can choose to ignore anyways.
Instead of those targeted spying ads, I was greeted by webcomic ads. What a surprise; I thought the internet was supposed to be boring!

For the first time in my life, I started willingly clicking the ads I got. I was enjoying the activity of looking through the personal webpages of the comics, seeing what kind of cast they got, what the creator is like, etc.
After some time of doing this (and getting tired of it), an ad for the webcomic "Bicycle Boy" caught my eye (it was like fate!). I was bored anyways, so I decided to do another round of my webcomic site explorations. This time I got actually interested in what I was seeing. The cast page had a character with a gas mask (Bridget!). How cool! I'm a big fan of gas masks, and now my interest was piqued; I actually wanted to know what happens in this story. I could read for a bit; it's not like I couldn't just click off if I get bored.

Hours went by, and I didn't click off until I hit the latest page that was put out. I need to wait for more pages?!!! I need more!!! I ended up rereading the webcomic again a few days after to make myself feel better about the whole waiting thing.

One of my greatest dreams is to own the physical first volume that was released through a Kickstarter. It had sadly ended by the time I arrived. I hope I get another chance one day.

FUN FACT: This page has Macabre Plaza as the background music because I listened to Macabre Plaza on loop while reading the comic for the first time, and now I have to listen to Macabre Plaza every time I read the comic because I feel like I'm not getting the full experience without it.
Fun Internet essentials! a blinkie and a stamp!
